The Museum of Modern Art (Moderna Museet), opened in 1958, is a state museum for modern and contemporary art, with a collection comprising more than 130,000 works in various media.
The building, designed by the Spanish architect Rafael Moneo, was completed in 1998.
In 2009, the museum opened a new branch in Malmö.
