The Aalto House

The Aalto House is part of the Alvar Aalto Museum, together with the Aalto Studio and Muuratsalo Experimental House on the island of Muuratsalo. It is the former house of the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto (1898 – 1976).
His Studio, not far from the house, also functions as a museum.
Aalto lived here until his death in 1976. His surviving second wife stayed there until her own death in 1994.
