Balcamare Estate & Lochalsh Woodland Garden includes a woodland garden specialising in Himalayan and far eastern plants. The 2750 ha estate was bequeathed by Lady Hamilton in 1946 to the National Trust and in 1954 the nearby Lochalsh House was also conveyed to the Trust.
The Balmacara Estate is a highland crofting estate and supports a wide variety of wildlife and plants native to the Scottish Highlands.
