Bernisches Historisches Museum / Einstein Museum, located in the historic building from 1894, houses the two museums, Bernisches Historisches Museum, and the Einstein Museum. The former is dedicated to the history of Bern from prehistoric times to the present day, whereas the latter is dedicated to the life and work of Albert Einstein.
Bernisches Historisches Museum covers a large collections related the town's history, including objects from Egypt, America, Asia and Oceania.
The Einstein Museum is dedicated to the life and work of the inventor of the Relativity Theory, as does the 'Einsteinhaus', where he lived with his family.
