Most of the Botanical Garden was removed to the new National Botanic Garden of Belgium in Meise, In 1938, due to the works of the North-South junction. (see also: https://www.tripendy.com/location/botanic-garden-meise)

The original garden building now stands as the cultural centre "Le Botanique". The historical statues and its remarkable collection of species of large trees, remains intact.
