It is divided by sectors. The three main sectors are, the Linnaeus system, the Engler sector and the experimental sector.

The garden also has a Seed Bank and a Virtual Herbarium, a collection of images related to Herbarium Mediterranean exsiccata gathered in a database that can be consulted online, with at the moment, about 104,000 data concerning exsiccata and almost 90,000 images are available online.
