Castle Ashby is the ancestral home of the 7th Marquess of Northampton. The castle is set in the heart of a 4,049 ha (10,000 acres) estate. The gardens, covering 14 ha (35 acres), are a combination of several styles.
The main features of the gardens include The Italian Gardens & Orangery, the Butterfly & Secret Garden, the Maltese Cross & Rainbow Border and the Arboretum & Nature Trail.
The full Castle Ashby experience also involves a menagerie, children’s play area, plant centre, tea room and gift shop.
The gardens are open every day.
The house, privately inhabited, is usually not open for the public.
