Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Museums & Art Centres
Castle Nossen, today a museum, dates back to the 12th century when it was owned by the Knights of Nuzzin. After having passed on to the Meissen Bishops and later to the Altzella Monastery, it became property of the Elector of Saxony who erected a true Renaissance castle.

It was used as an administrative office and in the 19th century partly also as a museum. In 1993, the Free State of Saxony took the castle over merging it into one administrative unit with the Altzella Monastery. Nowadays, as a museum is displays the history of the castle and highlights the nobility of Saxony.

Nossen is also a venue for film & photo shooting, cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, receptions, weddings...
