Château d'Auvers-sur-Oise was built in 1635 for Zanobi Lioni, a rich Italian financier associated with Marie de Medici. It is surrounded by eight hectares of wooded parkland and gardens.

The gardens have been inspired by three different garden styles: the Italian Renaissance gardens, the French gardens and the English gardens.

The Château d'Auvers has changed hands several times during its history, but since 1987 it is owned by the Conseil général du Val-d’Oise, who fully restores the castle and gardens.

The Château offers visitors the "Impressionist Vision", plunging the visitor into the world of impressionist painting.

It is also a venue for corporate and private events such as weddings, receptions...
