Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg dates back to the Middle Ages and was abandoned after the Thirty Years' War. It houses an exceptional collection of weapons and furniture, mainly from the 16th and 17th centuries…
It was rebuilt on behalf of emperor Wilhelm II between 1900 and 1908 by the architect Bodo Ebhardt, based on a close study of the remaining walls, archives and other fortified castles built at the same period.
