Château de Suscinio
Castles & Country Houses
Château de Suscinio, now public property and used for exhibitions and cultural events, dates from the Middle Ages. It was built as a residence for the Dukes of Brittany and has housed Kings, Queens and Dukes.
However from the 16th century on is was more and more abandoned. In the 20th century the family of Jules de Francheville who attempted to preserve and restore the castle, sold it to the Département of Morbihan.
