Museums & Art Centres
The De Pont Museum of Contemporary Art, opened in 1992 and housed in a former wool-spinning mill, is dedicated to contemporary art. The museum has been named after the attorney and businessman J.H. de Pont (1915-1987), who made a part of his estate available for the establishment of a foundation to stimulate contemporary visual art.
The De Pont Museum holds three large exhibitions every year, as well as some smaller exhibitions.
