Museums & Art Centres
The Dresden Museum of Ethnology (Museum für Völkerkunde Dresden), founded in 1875, houses a very large ethnographic collection (over 90,000 artefacts). The museum is located in the historic Japanese Palace.
The basis of the collection was the cabinet of curiosities of August of Saxony, which he founded in 1560.
