Antiques & Art Galleries
Galerie Thomas Schulte's focus is on International Contemporary Art. Galerie Thomas Schulte – until 2000 Galerie Franck + Schulte – was one of the first galleries to open in Berlin after reunification.

The gallery’s very first exhibition with the »Chor der Heuschrecken« of Rebecca Horn in April 1991 already received a good deal of attention among both the critics and the general public. The gallery quickly advanced to become one of the leading international locations for contemporary art in Germany, showing positions never before on view in Berlin, including artists such as Richard Artschwager, Alighiero Boetti, Magdalena Jetelová, Sol LeWitt, Allan McCollum, Pat Steir, and Robert Mapplethorpe.

The program of represented artists centres around conceptual art and focuses on the contemporary scene since 1960. Among the best known positions of the gallery are: Alice Aycock, Richard Deacon, Alfredo Jaar, Jonathan Lasker, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Robert Mapplethorpe, Fabian Marcaccio, Gordon Matta-Clark, Allan McCollum, Katharina Sieverding, Juan Uslé, Stephen Willats, and Robert Wilson. Younger positions include Idris Khan, Bernhard Martin, Michael Müller, Peter Rogiers, Leunora Salihu and Iris Schomaker.

Aside from its current program, the gallery has over the years dedicated one or more solo exhibition to numerous artists including Bas Jan Ader, Dieter Appelt, Richard Artschwager, Alighiero e Boetti, Chuck Close, Helmut Federle, Michael Heizer, Rebecca Horn, Johannes Kahrs, Joseph Kosuth, Jannis Kounellis, Sol LeWitt, Mark Lombardi, Roxy Paine, Pipilotti Rist, Robert Smithson, and Pat Steir.
Since its foundation Galerie Thomas Schulte has regularly participated in major international art fairs including Art Basel, Art Basel Miami Beach, Armory Show, ARCOmadrid, EXPO Chicago, FIAC and Art Forum Berlin.
