Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum for modern and contemporary art, owned by the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. Next to its permanent exhibits, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions of works of Spanish and international artists.
The museum, one of the largest in Spain, was opened in 1997 and designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry.
