Castles & Country Houses, Event, Film & Wedding Hire, Gardens & Parks
Heidelberg Palace dates back to 1225 and was one of the greatest palaces of the Renaissance and the residence of the Prince-Electors of Palatine for 350 years. Now it is one of the greatest palace ruins with a small part restored.
The garden was made by Frederick V and his wife, Elizabeth, daughter of King James I of England and was designed by Salomon de Caus, a famous garden designer, author and hydraulic engineer who wrote a book on the garden. Unfortunately, the hydraulic tricks, games, musical devices and parterres were destroyed during the Thirty Years War (1618-48).
The palace is also a venue for film & photo shooting, cultural, corporate and private events, such as concerts, receptions, weddings...
