Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks
The Hermitage, Dunkeld, is a landscape area, made by the 3rd Duke of Atholl. He lived at Dunkeld House, which was demolished early 19th century. Today it is used as a country house hotel. There is a wild stream, ornamental bridge and a folly, Ossian's Hall.

It was dedicated to the blind bard Ossian and built in 1757.

The site is in the hands of the National Trust for Scotland.
