Lampronti Gallery
The gallery, founded in 1914 by his grandfather, specialises in Italian Old Master Paintings of the 17th and 18th Centuries, with a particular focus on view paintings, landscapes and still lives, ranging from Caravaggio to Canaletto and their followers.
Cesare became Director of the gallery in 1961 and has since participated in the most prestigious Old Masters fairs throughout Europe. In Italy he takes part in the Biennale Internazionale di Roma and the Biennale Internazionale di Firenze, while abroad he showcases at The European Fine Art Fair (TEFAF), Paris Tableau, Biennale des Antiquaires, Frieze Masters and Point Art Monaco. The gallery also collaborates with international museums and institutions in conducting research and providing loans for exhibitions. Cesare is a member of the Italian Association of Art Dealers, for which he served as vice-president for 15 years, and of the French Syndicat National des Antiquaires.
In January 2013, a new gallery space opened on Duke Street, St James’s, offering a window upon Italian art and culture in the heart of London.
