Château de Marquessac, built in the 17th century by Bertrand Vernet de Marqueyssac, Counselor to Louis XIV, is surrounded by a garden with more than 150.000 boxwood trees.
The boxwood trees garden was the idea of Julien Cervel, when he acquired the château in the 1860s.
When the new owner, Kleber Rossillon, took over the estate in 1996, the garden was very neglected. He has them fully restored and added some features, such as the alley with rosemary, the alley with santolina and the water with cascade.
Marquessac is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions and weddings.
