Melbourne Hall, dating back to the 17th century, is now in the hands of Lord and Lady Ralph Kerr. The House, with its beautiful and historical content, and gardens and are open to the public.
It was once the home of the statesman William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne (hence the origin of the name of the city of Melbourne in Australia).
The gardens were designed by London and Wise. Their work represents the French style in England.
