Museo d'Arte Moderna Mario Rimoldi, officially opened in 1974, displays he collection of Mario Rimoldi, a well known collector in Cortina d'Ampezzo. It was his widow, Mrs Rosa Braun, who donated this collection to the Regole of Ampezzo.
This collection of 20th century Italian art is of significant importance and includes masterpieces by painters like Savinio, Garbari, Depero, Guttuso and of a few works which are fundamental in the study of de Pisis, Sironi, De Chirico, Semeghini, Tomea, Tosi, Campigli.
