Parham House was built 1577 by the Palmer family, and has been a family home ever since. The House and gardens are open to the public.
Parham House contains rare and precious collections of paintings, furniture, needlework and antiquities. They were collected over a period of 60 years by Mr and Mrs Pearson, and subsequently their daughter, Veronica Tritton.
Today, in the hands of a charitable trust, the House and Gardens are surrounded by some 354 ha ( 875 acres) of agricultural and forestry land.
Parham House is also a venue for various events such garden weekends and exhibitions.
