Pearse Museum

Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
The Pearse Museum, set in 20 ha (50 acres) of beautiful St Enda’s Park, tells the story of Patrick Pearse and his brother William, both of whom were executed for their part in the 1916 Rising. Here it was where Patrick Pearse lived and ran his innovative Irish-speaking school, Scoil Éanna, between 1910-16.

The museum, located in the 18th century house, contains reconstructions of many of the original rooms, as well as a gallery devoted exclusively to the sculpture of William Pearse.

You can also see a nature study room in the courtyard behind the school house, where examples of Irish plants and animals can be found.

Pearse Museum and St Enda’s Park are operated and managed by the Office of Public Works.
