Museums & Art Centres
Ca' Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art, founded by Prince Alberto Giovannelli, contains works of art by 19th and 20th century masters, such as Klimt, Chagall, Boccioni, De Chirico...
The palace, an important Baroque building, was constructed in the second half of the 17th century for the Pesaro family, and designed by Longhena.
In 1898, the then owner Duchess Felicita Bevilacqua La Masa donated the palace to the city in order to become a Modern Art Museum.
Ca' Pesaro is managed by the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.
