Monuments & Sites, Museums & Art Centres
The Civic Archaeological Museum of Milan is housed in the ex-convent of the Monastero Maggiore di San Maurizio, founded in the 8th century AD. On the ground floor there are the sections dedicated to Ancient Milan and the Early Middle Ages.

In the basement, the exhibition is also dedicated to the history of Milan, to the theme of living; next to it you can admire the sections of Caesarea Maritima, Etruscan art and Gandhara.

In the crypt of the church there is the Greek section, whereas in the internal cloister the polygonal tower (late 3rd century) with early medieval frescoes (13th century) can be visited.
