Maximilian Park

Maximilian Park (30 ha) is named after the king, Maximilian II of Bavaria, and was created between 1861 and 1897 by Carl von Effner.
It contains the famous "Angel of Peace", mounted on a 23-metre column above a small hall, and was constructed to celebrate the 25 years of peace after 1871.
