The Musée départemental de Préhistoire d'Île-de-France retraces the major stages of Prehistory and Early History of the entire Île-de-France, from around 600,000 years ago to the end of the Gallic period .
The museum was designed by architect Roland Simounet and is located at the heart of a picturesque forest with numerous prehistoric sites.
