The Museum of Ethnography features a large collection of Hungarian and international folk crafts, century old ceramics, textiles, artefacts, furniture, etc. One of the highlights is a collection of the most beautiful festive national folk costumes, representing various regions in Hungary.
The stunning 19th century eclectic palace was originally built by Alajos Hauszmann (1847-1926) for the Ministry of Justice contains Grand staircases, classical columns of multi-coloured marble, stucco and gilt decorations and a huge ceiling fresco, made by Karoly Lotz.
