Gardens & Parks
Myddelton House has been the residence of Edward Augustus Bowles (1865-1954), one of Britain’s most famous self-taught gardeners, artists and expert botanists. He was born and died here.
Bowles loved exotic and unusual plants and transformed his gardens according to his taste.
Today the house is owned by the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, who made it their headquarters.
The gardens are open to the public.
