The Nationalmuseum is Sweden's museum of art and design, housing important collections. The collections of around 700.000 items include paintings, sculpture, drawings and graphic art from the 16th century up to the beginning of the 20th century and the collection of applied art and design up to the present day.

The Nationalmuseum collections of paintings and sculptures comprise works of international Masters such as Rembrandt, Rubens, Goya, Renoir, Degas and Gaugin, as well as Swedish artists such as Carl Larsson, Ernst Josephson, Carl Fredrik Hill and Anders Zorn.
