Park Giardino Sigurta
Gardens & Parks
Park Giardino Sigurta is a magnificent 60 ha park, with a long history dating back to 1407. After a period of neglect the estate was redeveloped by the industrialist, Dr. Giuseppe Carlo Sigurtà from 1941.
The park is open to the public since 1983, whereas the original Villa (Maffei) is privately inhabited.
The estate has known many historic visitors such as Emperor Franz-Joseph, Napoleon and in modern times Price Charles, Margaret Thatcher, Visconti....
Even still today, the heirs Dr. Giuseppe Carlo Sigurtà are embellishing and extending the park.
