The Plantation Garden
Gardens & Parks
The Plantation Garden, covering 1.2 ha (3 acres), was started in 1856 by Henry Trevor, a prosperous upholsterer and cabinet maker. He transformed an old chalk quarry into a magical garden.
On this relatively small spot, he created a gentleman's residence and garden in the grand Victorian grand style.
Since 1980 it is in the hands of the The Plantation Garden Preservation Trust (PGPT)
