The Police Museum, Budapest
The Police Museum opened its doors in 1999, as the fully renewed successor of its predecessor, the Criminal Museum, which dates back to 1908. The museum offers three permanent exhibitions; on the History of the Hungarian police from 1848 to the present day, Forensic (Criminal) exhibition, and a "Past and Present" Photo exhibition.
The museum includes also a library and a Photo and Film Archive.
The Police Museum has a branch in Tarnaméra, displaying 150 police / gendarmerie uniforms from more than 100 countries.
