Prior Park Landscape Garden

Prior Park was created by the entrepreneur Ralph Allen, who had bought the house and grounds in 1720. It was designed by Lancelot Brown and the poet Alexander Pope. The park is covering 11.3 hectares (28 acres), and was acquired by the National,Trust in 1999.
It has a magnificent and almost unique Palladian Bridge. There are only four of this design left in the world. The park has still various features such as the Gothic Temple, Grotto, ice house, pools, lake...
The site has beautiful views of Bath.
