The Royal Palace op de Dam is a beautiful monument from the Dutch "Golden Age".
The Palace was build as a town hall and considered as one of the world wonders of its time. From the Napoleontic time up to the Orange Dynasty, it is used as a royal palace and often used for representation puposes such as state-visits, dinners, receptions etc.. It can be visited when not in use by the Royal Family.
