Museums & Art Centres
Skansen, opened in 1891, is the world's oldest open-air museum (30 ha), showcasing a full replica of an average 19th-century town, and other houses and farmsteads from all over the country. In addition, there is an open-air ZOO, with many Scandinavian animals.
The visitors can see traditional craftsmen in traditional dress such as tanners, shoemakers, silversmiths, bakers and glass-blowers, demonstrating their skills.
