Kunst Museum Winterthur | Reinhart am Stadtgarten features artwork from the Romanticism, Realism and 20th century art. The museum contains in particular the part of the collection of Oskar Reinhart which he donated to the town during his lifetime, as well as paintings from the Jakob Briner Foundation.
The “Reinhart am Stadtgarten” comprises around 600 works of art by German, Swiss and Austrian artists of the 18th to 20th centuries, such as Ferdinand Hodler, Caspar David Friedrich and Carl Spitzweg.
The paintings from the Jakob Briner Foundation, focus on landscapes, still lives and figure paintings by the Dutch masters of the 17th century.
Noteworthy also are the miniature portraits, courtesy of a donation by Dr Emil S. Kern.
