Staedel Museum, founded in 1815 by the banker and businessman Johann Friedrich Städel, features a collections covering almost a complete survey of seven hundred years of European art from the early 14th century to the present.
Germany’s oldest museum foundation, its holdings encompass altogether 3,100 paintings, 660 sculptures, more than 4,600 photographs and more than 100,000 drawings and prints.
