The Botanic Garden TU Delft (2.5 ha) dates from 1917 and contains among others, a tree garden, a greenhouse complex with tropical and subtropical plants, a medicinal herb garden and a 'middle garden' with a nice collection of useful- and ornamental plants.
Initially the terrain was a soggy meadow adjacent to the herb garden for Delft pharmacists.
