The Archeological Museum of Istria explores the city's history through three main collections: Prehistoric, Ancient and Medieval. It was the discovery of Nesactium which was fundamental for  this museum, whose halls opened their doors to the public in 1930. 

The museum also maintains some of Pula's most treasured monuments including the Triumphal Arch of the Sergi (Golden Gate), Pula Arena, the Temple of Augustus...
