Bushy Park
Gardens & Parks
Bushy Park, covering 445 ha(1,099 acres), is one of London’s eight Royal Parks. It is linked to Hampton Court by the Longford River. It has a mixture of waterways, gardens, grassland and roaming herds of deer.
It has interesting places to discover, such as the Diana fountain, located at the end of the mile-long Chestnut Avenue (designed by Sir Christopher Wren), the Upper Lodge Water Gardens and the Woodland Gardens.
During WW II, it was a US air base, called Camp Griffiss. General Eisenhower planned D-Day from here
