Castles & Country Houses, Gardens & Parks, Museums & Art Centres
Chateau at Kamenice nad Lipou: The original 13th-century castle was converted 1580–1583 into a Renaissance mansion inclusive a courtyard with arcades and a garden. The Baroque entrance tower was built in 1744, whereas the castle acquired its present Late Neo-classical appearance in the early 19th century.

It is surrounded by an English landscape garden with a 700–800 years old linden tree.

Pre-World War II, the chateau was privately owned by the von Geymüller family.

In 1998, the castle came under the management of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (UPM). Following extensive restoration work carried out between 1999 and 2004, the UPM showcases its collection of 19th and 20th century furniture, Dolls, Toys, wrought ironwork , etc.

In addition, the castle houses the Museum of the Senses, permanent exhibition of the town's Municipal Museum.

There is also an annual summer festival of toys, their designers and producers, including works of art students and works in the possession of collectors from all over the Czech Republic.
