Claydon House & Estate
The estate offers an interesting mixture of attractions: The Courtyard, with different galleries and shops, including the Phoenix Thearooms, the beautiful gardens and garden events, The Church of all Saints, the Archives, various events, exhibitions, properties available for rent, and the House itself.
The House was built in the 18th century, also by the 2nd Earl Verney, but what remains today is around a third of the Earl’s creation. Now in the care of the National Trust the house is open to visitors.
The garden includes a rose garden with mainly Scottish roses, a Victorian kitchen garden and a pool garden with a restored nineteenth century greenhouse.
