Steane Park Gardens is covering 32 ha (80 acres), and has been renovated and remodelled since 1990, under its new private owners. The house, privately inhabited, only the gardens are open to the public.
Steane Park (16th century), was in the 17th century home of Sir Thomas Crewe, speaker of the House of Commons. In 1620 he rebuilt the St Peter chapel in memory of his wife.
The property has changed hands several times, such as to Henry Duke of Kent and the Spencer family.
