Glenwhan Gardens & Arboretum have been developed since 1983, and displays all sorts of plants from the Southern Hemisphere, rare trees and shrubs, due to the Gulf Stream. There is a Moorland Walk, covering 6.9 ha (17 acres), and two small lakes.

Glenwhan has wonderful views over Luce Bay, the Isle of Man and the Mull of Galloway.
