Gardens & Parks
The Green Park is, with its 16 ha (40 acres), the smallest one of London’s eight Royal Parks. It became Crown property in 1668, under Charles II. It was opened to the public in 1826.
With its range of memorials, fountains and statues, it is in particular known for hosting the Royal Gun Salutes on special royal occasions.
