Hyde Park & Diana Memorial Fountain
Gardens & Parks
Hyde Park, covering 142 ha (350 acres), is one of London's eight Royal Parks. It was created on request of Henry III in 1536, and used as a hunting ground. The land was taken from Westminster Abbey.
The park is traditionally famous for its "Speakers' Corner", and more recently for the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain.
