Kensington Palace was the residence of the (Dutch) Stadholder-King William III and his English wife, Mary Stuart. The house was remodelled for them by Sir Christopher Wren. It is the official residence of several members of the Royal Family.
The State Rooms are open to the public and managed by the Historic Royal Palaces, whereas the private parts are managed by the Royal Household.
The gardens are free accessible, except the separated private part. The gardens include the famous Albert Memorial, commissioned by Queen Victoria, but financed by public subscription.
Kensington Palace is also a venue for corporate and private events, such as receptions, weddings...
