Helsinki University Museum preserves the cultural heritage of the University of Helsinki and manages its artefact, art and photographic collections. The collections are telling the fascinating story of the University, from the founding of the Royal Academy of Turku in the year 1640 up to the present day.
The University of Helsinki is the oldest university in Finland and is a reference of Finnish culture and learning.
The Helsinki University Museum also includes The Helsinki Observatory and The Art Room of the University of Helsinki.
