The Museum of Anthropology and Ethnology (Museo Nazionale di Antropologia ed Etnologia), housed in Palazzo Nonfinito, holds a large collection of 25.00 ethnographic artifacts, substantial anthropological collections, as well as photographic collections and the paper archive which preserves the correspondence of Paolo Mantegazza and the characters who succeeded him.
The Palazzo Nonfinito is an unfinished palace, designed by Bernardo Buontalenti in 1593 for the Strozzi family, whereas only the courtyard and the first floor were completed.
